Pineappil was born out of the desire to make a lasting change on the environment and the way in which society defines beauty. With environmental damage increasing as the fashion industry grows, the brother and sister duo behind Pineappil were urged to find an alternate solution that best protects our oceans and all the creatures within it.
Let us take you on a little bit of a journey. The ocean makes up two-thirds of our planet’s surface and provides a home to a variety of wildlife. As one of our greatest natural resources, not only do our oceans supply us with food and oxygen, they are also responsible for regulating the climate and weather, which is critical for human existence. Above all else, our oceans provide us with a perfect place to escape the summer heat, soak up some vitamin D, get some salt in our hair and sand between our toes.
Unfortunately, the ocean we love so much is under great threat as plastic pollution worsens. Our oceans are being polluted by plastic fishing nets and much more, which have been abandoned, lost or discarded at sea. These fishing nets remain in the marine ecosystem for hundreds of years and can result in the entrapment and death of precious marine wildlife. According to a joint report by FAO and UNEP, it is estimated that there are currently 640,000 tonnes of plastic fishing nets in our ocean, accounting for 10% of the total plastic waste in the sea.
The increased scale of global fishing operations and the introduction of highly durable fishing gear is only aggravating the problem. This issue is a great threat to marine and human life. Something must be done if we want to preserve our oceans and save our environment!
Time to start cleaning up our oceans! Our swimwear is made using nylon which has been regenerated from plastic fishing nets and other plastic pollution recovered from oceans all over the world. Not only does this regenerated nylon assist in cleaning up our oceans, one bikini at a time, it can also be recycled indefinitely without losing its original properties - which means the possibilities are endless.

Where do you ship to?
We ship worldwide - except Cuba, Guatemala, Iran, North Korea, Syria and Sudan.
Who is your delivery carrier?
All Australian Domestic and International orders are shipped using Sendle. We have chosen Sendle as it is a 100% carbon neutral delivery service and therefore completely aligns with our values. We love working with other businesses that value the environment as much as we do!

When will my order arrive?
We work to ship your order as soon as possible. Orders are dispatched from our Australian headquarters to our couriers within 24 hours of order confirmation.

North America, Western Europe, Asia and the Pacific | 6-13 working days
Rest of the world | 10-15 working days
There can be occasional customs or courier delays which may affect your delivery timeframe from time to time. If an order is not claimed/refused by the receiver, our courier will attempt re-delivery. If our team is unable to arrange a redelivery by their cut-off time, the order will be returned to us - upon which, you will need to re-pay for the full costs of having it re-shipped to you. Consequently, there will be no returns for orders that are not claimed or refused.
How much is shipping?
Australian Domestic and International shipping is calculated on your delivery address and selected shipping type. An exact rate will be confirmed during checkout.
Will I have to pay any additional duties & taxes?
International shipments may be subject to import taxes, duties and custom fees that are levied once the package reaches the country of destination. These are the responsibility of the recipient. Please be aware that Pineappil does not have any control for any duties, customs and taxes levied by the country your order is being shipped to. We cannot advise what the cost will be as these charges can vary from country to country. It will be best to contact your local customs office to find out more information if you are unsure of any charges.
What shipping information do you require from me?
To ensure your order is delivered and isn’t cancelled or delayed, all addresses are required to be valid. Please make sure all of your shipping details are correct. Please note, our courier is unable to deliver Australian Domestic orders to PO Boxes, so please provide a physical address. Pineappil is not liable for wrong information provided at checkout and if an incorrect shipping address has been provided Pineappil is not liable to accept a return.
How can I track my order?
You will receive an order tracking number once your order has been dispatched. If you do not receive one within 48 hours of placing your order please email us at email@example.com
Pineappil is committed to customer satisfaction. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can apply for a return in the form of a Pineappil store credit or an exchange by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Can I return my item?
All goods must be returned to us within 7 days of delivery and must meet the following requirements:
Items which do not comply with these requirements will not be accepted. You will be notified via email if items are not suitable for a store credit or exchange. We do not offer returns on discounted or sale items.
What will it cost me to return my item?
The costs incurred for returning items for store credit or exchange are at the customer’s expense and will not be covered or reimbursed by Pineappil. We recommend using a registered postal service for items you return, as any returned items that are not received by us are not our responsibility. Accordingly, we will not be able to process a store credit or exchange for any item we have not received.
Approved returns will be issued excluding the original shipping costs. We do not cover the cost or reimburse any of your shipping expenses with returns, store credits or exchanges. Customers will be responsible for all shipping and handling charges.
How do I return an item?
To request a return, please email our customer care team at email@example.com with your order confirmation number and we will assist you in processing a return.
How long will it take for my return to be processed?
We will aim to process your store credit or exchange within 3 working days of receiving your returned item. You will receive an email once your store credit or exchange has been processed.
What if my item is damaged or faulty?
While we do our best to ensure this never happens, if you do receive a damaged or faulty item, please contact us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org
